Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts. ~ Colossians 3:16 (NLT)
God gave us music that we might pray without words. ~ from an old German Opera House.
Worship is our heart responding to the revelation of God in our lives as we serve God every day. When we come together, it is the overflow of our heart’s response to God! Music is only an element we use to express our worship-but there are so many other ways we worship. Worship is always about God and never about us.
The following groups of faithful people volunteer their time and talents for the Glory of God:
- Praise Team - Vocalists and Instrumentalists rehearse weekly for the 11:00 am Praise Service. Spaces are available on the Praise Team; if you’re interested in participating, contact the Director of Worship.
- Chancel Choir - Provides choral music for our 9:00 am Classic Worship Service. Choir rehearsal is Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm in the Worship Center, and is open to all. The Chancel Choir performs an annual Christmas Cantata, and often participates in community choir events.
- Handbell Choir rehearses on Wednesdays at 6:00 pm. The ability to read music is required for this ensemble. We are privileged to own a three-octave set of Malmark Handbells, and a three-octave set of Malmark handchimes. This ensemble contributes to our Classic Worship Service throughout the year. If you'd like to do more than just listen, let us know! Please contact Amy Brevitz, Director of Worship, for more information.
- Worship Tech Team - This team uses visual, sound and lighting technology to support and enhance our worship services. Volunteers are always needed for this vital ministry. Please contact the Director of Worship to schedule training.
